Masimanyane launches 5 new women's clubs


Masimanyane WRI recognises the importance of support groups for GBV survivors and offers them the opportunity to join a caring community.


The women from the clubs have committed to going back to their communities to raise awareness and be of assistance to other women who find themselves in abusive situations.


Among the stakeholders are representatives from Mdantsane Magistrate Court(Masimanyane office), Shelter (Masimanyane), Thuthuzela Care Centre (Masimanyane counsellor) and DSD.


“Each incident of GBV is a violation of an individual’s rights, and experiences with GBV can have significant impact on Survivors’ safety, health and quality of life."


The groups are:

  • Someleze Women’s Club - Unit P

  • Masixhobisane Women’s Club - Mncotsho

  • Siyazingca Women’s Club - Kanana

  • Sonele Women’s Club - Nkqonkqweni

  • Senzokuhle Women’s Club - Mntlabathi
